This is an excellent opportunity to work with an award-winning nationwide company that turnover in excess of a £100m annually. They undertake a number of frameworks with several leading blue chip companies and have also secured a substantial portfolio of commercial, healthcare and distribution projects. They are now in a fantastic position to build new teams to work in these energetic and vibrant sectors.

Principal Accountabilities:

Delivery: Ensure that projects are delivered safely, on time and in a manner that enhances company reputation for quality and that adequate resources of the right calibre are used. Works closely with management & team to ensure commercial services both support & meet the project plan and / or work stream delivery objectives

Relationship: Frequent contacts internally and externally, much of which requires influencing and negotiating skills to be used. Ensure that the public, the customer, our supply chain and internal relationships are positively managed in the context of commercial assignments. Alert management to any threats or opportunities so that appropriate action can be taken.

Technical: Demonstrate pro-active commercial management skills in all aspects of project or work stream assignments. Ensure that your team has the relevant capabilities to meet the technical aspects of the assignment. Make recommendations to senior management as appropriate.

Commercial: Ensure profitable completion of projects or work streams to agreed targets whilst minimising risk. Liaise with your Project Directors or Commercial Manager (as appropriate) to insure consistent reporting methods are adopted

Procedural: Manage self and team to work in adherence with company policy and procedures. Strongly manage the close out of all non-conformances identified. Feedback results to senior management without prompting

Reporting: Sustain timely and accurate reports including risks, financial status and progress. Proactively report material exceptions and risks to project or work stream objectives as they arise. Formulate mitigation and solution plans in conjunction with senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Corporate member of professional body MRICS preferred or MCIOB with approved NVQ / relevant experience

Degree or Equivalent

Previous experience working for a main contractor

Previous experience working on NEC Contract
